Bio

Noam Rapoport is a film composer whose scores span documentary, narrative, and broadcast projects. His work has been featured on PBS’s American Masters and American Experience, including scoring an episode of the Webby Award–winning mini-series Renegades, and in the Directors Guild of America Student Jury Prize–winning short film Rope, which also screened at NewFest NYC.

He has composed for films playing at major festivals, including the Hamptons International Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Leeds International Film Festival, NewFest NYC, NFFTY, and Reykjavik International Film Festival.

A graduate of NYU’s Screen Scoring Master’s program, Noam received the festival’s Best Music Award at the NYU First Run Festival for his score to Within A Quiet Body. He was also selected for the 2024–2025 SCL New York Mentorship Program. His music uses complex, raw emotions through a unique blend of acoustic instrumentation, analog synths, and found sounds, utilizing unconventional recording techniques. Drawing on his background in jazz, indie rock, and contemporary classical music, Noam crafts rich, immersive soundscapes.
